How lucky is it that January first falls on
a Thursday!
Last fall as we were shuffling rooms,
cupboards and storage space in the house I came across an old photo album with some of
my first pictures.
Below (not always great quality – was it
the photographer or is it the 50 years of being stored in an album – I am not
sure) are photos of the 76th "Rose Parade" 1965.
Our family tradition was to go camp out all night with flasks of hot chocolate and lawn chairs. If you got there by 6 p.m. you could usually be in the front row - a great advantage when the floats started coming down the street the next morning. It was an adventure, excitement and of course gorgeous floats.
